Jim Kellow MMR

Host & Manager

I have been a model railroader all my life. Starting with a Lionel from Santa, to HO to N to O Scale and now Traction. I am a life member of the NMRA and MMR #202. I am the 7th person to have completed all of the NMRA Achievement Program certificates. My true modeling passion is scratch-building models, in brass, basswood, and/or Card, and mentoring other modelers.
Currently I write “New Tracks” articles for the S Scale Resource and O Scale Resource online magazines and for the village collector web site. I also host “New Tracks” on Zoom.
I also am an Ambassador for the Association of Professional Model Makers to the Model Railroad Community.

I have initiated and owned businesses all my life and was only frustrated when I worked for other people. Observation of situations and solving problems, making things better is my passion. I was fearful of boredom in retirement but soon invented a product that has been very successful, the Decoder Buddy.
In the winter Sue and I like to travel to warmer climates and meet people. Model Railroaders have been consistently great people to know and befriend. We always look forward to our travels. I also enjoy bicycling, walking, photography, flying and of course model railroading.
