Welcome to the This Old Kit series of Watch Me BuildMartin Breckbiel, MMR discuses old kits and evaluates its potential.

“There are probably 100’s of brands of “Old” kits that go back in time, some of which are well known, e.g. Athearn, All-Nation, Lobaugh, etc. but there are many lesser know ones out there on shelves in basements, closets, attics, barns and chicken coops.

Some of these are better than others and some are “adequate” and sometimes hard decisions have to be made.   Some can and some can’t be built to today’s standards or upgraded reasonably or realistically.  Some are a lot worse than others and some just need to be, well you know.”

The first video of this series is Martin discussing the above statement.  Watch him evaluate a kit or two and decide which kit to build and why.  (click on the links and the pictures to get to the videos)
